A power differential is inherent in any therapeutic relationship. This course looks at the power dynamics within the therapeutic relationship, particularly at the practitioner's role and responsibility to the client. The Power Differentials course includes reading chapter One of The Ethics of Touch (the book is purchased separately), answering 10 test questions, responding to 10 short answer questions, and completing a short project discussing the influential position of the practitioner within the therapeutic relationship. It meets the NCBTMB 2-hour continuing education requirement for Ethics Standard V: Roles and Boundaries.
