Breathing is the single most important action that our body performs. It is the first sign of life, and its absence is a cardinal sign of death. Breathing pattern disorders commonly occur and have sweeping consequences on biomechanics, biochemistry and psychological health. This lesson will explore the 3-dimensional breath, consider the biochemical and postural consequences of dysfunctional breathing, offer simple assessments of breathing mechanics, and use NMT strategies for treating the affected muscles. This is the fourth webinar in a 6-part series called NMT and the Puzzle of Pain. You can register for one webinar or the full series.
