Dates: 11/11/2011 to 11/13/2011 Time:9AM Location:Center for Massage & Natural Health Address: 530 Upper Flat Creek Rd. |Asheville | NC | F2F Massage can be a physically demanding, sometimes athletic, form of therapy. Work related injury is a major contribution to the” burn-out” many of us experience in our field. A disciplined self-care routine and a working knowledge of proper body mechanics are essential to keeping any massage practice healthy. Join us for a workshop where we will learn to nurture and enhance the longevity of our healing practice. This class will provide ways for therapists to work with the least amount of impact on their bodies. Different ways to avoid occupational injury and stress will be discussed, and participants will learn to improve performance by investigating different movement options as they perform bodywork techniques. This workshop will also explore self-care techniques to help therapists increase the lifespan of their bodywork practice and the health of their clients as well. FREE Professional Ethics Course: Friday, 9AM-Noon Workshop Hours: Friday, 1-6PM and Saturday/Sunday, 9AM-6PM
