Using the NCBTMB Code of Ethics as a guide, this course will cover scope of practice and legal guidelines, cultural diversity, professional boundaries, client/therapist confidentiality, financial issues (such as fair billing practices), professionalism, and conflict resolution. You will satisfy your professional ethics requirement for both North Carolina licensure renewal and NCBTMB re-certification in three quick, inspirational, and informative hours. Upon completion of this course, you will: ~Be able to define the function and purpose of professional boundaries, in order to create a safe and respectful environment for the practice of massage and bodywork therapy. ~Be able to identify the role and responsibilities of the practitioner in the therapist/client relationship. ~Understand established standards of professional behavior. ~Know how to represent yourself and your profession accurately, using appropriate professional designations and descriptions.
