Annual Business Meeting

Elevating therapeutic massage & bodywork education

The Alliance is required to hold a business meeting annually.  Previous to 2014, their business meeting took place during the yearly Alliance Conference.   In 2013 they made the decision to forgo a 2014 Conference to prepare for the 2015 Biennial Educational Congress.

Therefore the annual business meeting for 2018 was held online.  This is most cost effective for members to participate in the comfort of their surroundings without having to travel.

“In the absence of a live Alliance conferences annually, the Board of Directors wished to create an opportunity to connect with our members (albeit remotely) to inform them about our business operations and the committee work we’ve been engaged in during the past year ” says Pete Whitridge, Past President of The Alliance.

The online meeting agenda includes the same items as the live meetings.  Updates on Finances, the upcoming BOD elections, Massage and Bodywork Teacher Certification and the next Biennial Educational Congress, Marketing and other committee projects.

As with the live meeting, the Alliance has allotted time for question and answer so that all members have an opportunity for their voice to be heard. All Alliance members will be emailed the meeting details and are encouraged to make plans to attend.

AFMTE members are cordially invited to attend our Annual Business Meeting and attend the online meeting. Please mark your calendars now for July 31, 2018, 2:00-5:00 PM EDT and make plans to attend.  Review the 2018 Annual Business Meeting Agenda here
