AFMTE is the only membership organization dedicated to shaping the future of massage therapy education. Its collective vision and voice provide vital support and guidance.
The Leadership Development Committee (LDC) is charged with finding strong candidates to serve the Alliance as Board members and members of the LDC. Service to the Alliance gives back to the massage therapy community and contributes to your own personal and professional development.
Apply for Consideration as a Candidate to the Board or LDC by April 28, 2026
To be eligible for a position, you – or the organization you represent – must be an Alliance member in good standing. Members in all categories: School, Continuing Education Provider, Teacher, Allied, or Supporter are invited to apply.
AFMTE Board Openings
This year there are eight members of the Board. There is one member going off the Board. The board can consist of 7-10 members. If you are interested in applying for a Board seat, please use this form to submit your application.
AFMTE Leadership Development Committee Openings
Additionally, LDC members are appointed to serve. The four current members of the committee along with the Board Liaison/Interim Chair were appointed when there were openings in between the election timeframe.
The LDC serves as the nominating committee for the Board slate annually and helps fill committee positions throughout the year. If you are interested in being considered for a position on the LDC, please submit your application via this form.
